The consortium was formed in the spring of 2004, with regularly scheduled meetings at the Lancaster County Historical Society, and other member institutions. This group was the core that later grew to become the PA Digital Cultural Heritage Collaborative. The first five <g class=\"gr_ gr_368 gr-alert gr_gramm gr_inline_cards gr_run_anim Grammar only-ins replaceWithoutSep\" id=\"368\" data-gr-id=\"368\">years<\/g> activities are noted.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>2004-2005<ul><li>Built communication channels and collaborative effort among 8 local institutions.<\/li><li>Evaluated leading software options and vendors for digitization.<\/li><li>Preservation microfilming of the New Holland Clarion newspaper through the NEH funded Pennsylvania Newspapers Project.<\/li><li>Digitization of the Columbia Spy newspaper (1850-1870) through Penn State&#8217;s\u00a0<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" aria-label=\" (opens in a new tab)\" href=\"https:\/\/libraries.psu.edu\/about\/collections\/digital-newspapers\/pennsylvania-civil-war-era-newspaper-collection\" target=\"_blank\">PA Civil War Newspapers Collection<\/a>.<\/li><li>Received LSTA grant funding for digitization of the Columbia Spy newspaper (1830-1850, 1870-1889).<\/li><li>Digitization of\u00a0<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"http:\/\/library.fandm.edu\/TCRarchive\" target=\"_blank\">The College Reporter<\/a>\u00a0student newspaper (1987-2001) through the F&amp;M President&#8217;s Office\/Friends of the Library.<\/li><\/ul><\/li><li>2005-2006<ul><li>Presented poster and webinar sessions on cooperative digitization at regional conferences.<\/li><li>Received local press coverage of the LCDP, and Columbia Spy newspaper digitization.<\/li><li>Received Millersville University Friends of the Library funding for digitization of The Snapper student newspaper (1995-2005).<\/li><li>Digitization of the remaining Columbia Spy newspaper (1830-1850, 1870-1889) through the PA Dept. of Education\/LSTA and the\u00a0<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"http:\/\/www.lancasterhistory.org\/\" target=\"_blank\">Lancaster County Historical Society<\/a><\/li><li>Digitization of\u00a0<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"http:\/\/library.fandm.edu\/TCRarchive\" target=\"_blank\">The College Reporter<\/a>\u00a0student newspaper &#8211; phase 2 (1964-1987) through the F&amp;M Friends of the Library.<\/li><li>Conducted site visits to Penn State University Libraries Digitization  &amp; Preservation Department, Lehigh University Digital Library, and  OCLC Preservation Services.<\/li><\/ul><\/li><li>2006-2007<ul><li>Conducted <g class=\"gr_ gr_61 gr-alert gr_spell gr_inline_cards gr_run_anim ContextualSpelling multiReplace\" id=\"61\" data-gr-id=\"61\">one day<\/g> LCDP\u00a0Strategic Planning Retreat\u00a0at Millersville University.<\/li><li>Digitization of the F&amp;M\u00a0<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"http:\/\/library.fandm.edu\/TCRarchive\" target=\"_blank\">Student Weekly<\/a>\u00a0newspaper &#8211; phase 3 (1915-1964) through the F&amp;M Friends of the Library and Digital Preservation funds.<\/li><li>Presented\u00a0Poster Session\u00a0on LCDP and Collaborative Digitization at 13th National ACRL Conference, Baltimore, MD.<\/li><li>Conducted <g class=\"gr_ gr_62 gr-alert gr_spell gr_inline_cards gr_run_anim ContextualSpelling multiReplace\" id=\"62\" data-gr-id=\"62\">one day<\/g> LCDP\u00a0Consultation Meeting\u00a0with Ed Galloway, Coordinator, Digital Research Library, University of Pittsburgh. <\/li><\/ul><\/li><li>2007-2008<ul><li>Digitization of twenty years of the\u00a0<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" aria-label=\" (opens in a new tab)\" href=\"http:\/\/library.fandm.edu\/TCRarchive\" target=\"_blank\">Lancaster Journal<\/a>\u00a0weekly newspaper, 1816-1836, through an $8,000 grant from the Gladys Krieble Delmas Foundation.<\/li><li>Digitization of the\u00a0New Holland Clarion\u00a0newspaper (1873-1950) through the PA Dept. of Education\/LSTA and the\u00a0Lancaster County Historical Society.\u2022 Digitization of the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/padchc.org\/portfolio\/millersville-university-snapper\/\">Millersville University Snapper<\/a>\u00a0(1993-2005) through the Keystone Library Network.<\/li><li>Implementation of DSpace open source institutional repositories by\u00a0Lancaster Theological Seminary\u00a0and\u00a0Franklin and Marshall College<\/li><\/ul><\/li><li>2008-2009<ul><li>Digitization of the F&amp;M\u00a0<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"http:\/\/library.fandm.edu\/TCRarchive\" target=\"_blank\">College Days<\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"http:\/\/library.fandm.edu\/TCRarchive\" target=\"_blank\">F&amp;M Weekly<\/a>\u00a0newspapers &#8211; phase 4 (1873-1915) through the F&amp;M Friends of the Library and Digital Preservation funds.\u00a0<\/li><li>Received local press coverage of the LCDP, and New Holland Clarion newspaper digitization.<\/li><li>Migrated LCDP website to interactive\u00a0WetPaint website.<\/li><li>Digitized ten bound volumes the\u00a0<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" aria-label=\" (opens in a new tab)\" href=\"https:\/\/archive.org\/search.php?query=title%3A%28lancaster%20farmer%29%20AND%20contributor%3A%28lancasterhistory.org%29\" target=\"_blank\">Lancaster Farmer<\/a>\u00a0(1875-1884) as part of Palinet&#8217;s\u00a0Mass Digitization Collaborative\u00a0in association with the\u00a0Internet Archive.<\/li><li>PA Dept. of Education\/LSTA grant awarded to Millersville University and  Dickinson College to extend their collaborative project\u00a0<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"http:\/\/deila.dickinson.edu\/slaveryandabolition\/\" target=\"_blank\">Slavery &amp;
